Mavidea spends a lot of time providing information to commercial and non-profit customers on the benefits of using Office 365. We do this because we sincerely feel that Office 365 is the best solution for small and medium sized organizations (especially 501c3 non-profits!) to provide the collaboration tools they need to compete and be productive in the Internet age.
What does Mavidea get out of all of this? It’s simple really. We get:
- The satisfaction of knowing we made a recommendation that will truly help an organization communicate and collaborate better. Helping people aligns with our core values and principles that we operate Mavidea on.
- Organizations seeking information on Office 365 have become long-term Mavidea customers. Sometimes it is because we answered their questions when no one else would, and sometimes it is because they used our migration services to get up and running on Office 365 quickly and easily, and they found they liked working with us. Office 365 services have been our very first introduction to organizations that never heard of Mavidea before.
- Microsoft does compensate us on commercial Office 365 accounts. It is very small percent, and the amount customers pay to Microsoft is not changed at all. You as the customer just get the benefit of having a Microsoft Cloud Champion to call if problems arise that you cannot fix yourself. Of course, for our non-profit customers who are getting free accounts, there is no payment to Mavidea.
- Mavidea is a member of the aforementioned Microsoft Cloud Champions program. As part of that program, we get “points” for every customer we sign up. These points help us maintain our status in the Cloud Champions program, and Mavidea gets great pre-sales and post-sales support that we use to help our customers. We have a dedicated Microsoft Sales Engineer and Account Manager who help us when needed, and we also get additional marketing assistance directly from Microsoft. As a small company of 26 people, having Microsoft directly help us with our marketing is kind of a big deal.
So for all of these reasons, we help organizations sign up for Microsoft Office 365.
We hope that if we helped your commercial or non-profit get the benefits of Office 365, you will make Mavidea your Partner of Record on your subscription. It is quick and easy, and most of the times takes 2-3 minutes. Remember, you can change the Partner of Record at any time you like.
Thank you for supporting us as we support you!
Here are the steps to set Mavidea as Partner of Record.
- Sign in to your Office 365 account by going to https://portal.microsoftonline.com and filling in your username and password.
- You should now be on the Admin page. Over on the left, click on Licensing.
- In the Licensing section, you should now see your Subscription to Office 365. Click on the Subscription. In this example, it says Office 365 Enterprise E1.
- You’ll now see a Partner ID button in the bottom right. Click on the Add or Edit button that you see there.
- You’ll now see a screen where you can type the partner information in. Type in Mavidea’s partner id (2160155) and click Check ID. You should see in green “Partner found: Mavidea Technology Group”.
- Click OK and you’re done! You can log out and close the window if you don’t need to do anything else inside of the Office 365 Portal.
Again, we thank you for your support of Mavidea. If there is anything we can help you with regarding Office 365, just let us know.
