Tacos on Tuesdays

Mavideans like to eat tacos on Tuesdays. Now, you may be thinking that you don’t really understand why that would be a relevant topic for this blog…

Management at Mavidea is constantly learning and seeking ways to make our business unique and like no other. One way that we do this is by putting a great emphasis on our culture – we care a lot about our employees and believe that a healthy culture leads to a business with better customer service, closer internal relationships, and low turn-over.

We have many reasons why we so strongly believe in a healthy culture, but for the sake of this conversation we are going to just talk about open door management. If you are unfamiliar with the term, one definition of open door management is that the owners are open with their employees about all aspects of the business and employees are welcome to ask any questions they would like regarding the business.

I’m sure you’re wondering what this has to do with tacos…getting there!

So, in Mavidea fashion, we took two things we love…open door management and TACOS! and we put them together to create Taco Tuesdays – this occurs once per month where all Mavideans (Mavidea employees) are invited to a local restaurant that serves tacos and the CEO joins for an open, casual conversation about Mavidea – he is available to answer any questions Mavideans may have regarding the financials, goals, mission, vision, etc. Anything! Or maybe just to get to know the CEO better…he can be kind of odd

Anyway, so that’s why we love eating Tacos on Tuesdays! What have you done lately for your company culture? We’d love to hear your ideas! French Fries on Fridays?
