MavideaSITE Before + After: Wesley United Methodist Church

Wesley United Methodist Church’s mission is “to make and nurture disciples for Jesus Christ," and they strive to do that in ways that are joyful, thoughtful, and relevant to modern life.

Before

Their old site created some difficulty for them. It was built on Joomla and that platform created several hurdles for updating the site’s fonts, colors, etc. After using Joomla, they were looking for a platform that was easier for them to make their own edits/updates.

Aside from needing a better platform, they also have a lot of relevant and diverse content - they needed to reorganize their content to make it more accessible to their members and to visitors. Lastly, they needed a more robust and easy to use calendar system.

After

We tackled the platform issue easily by switching them to WordPress. It is the most popular CMS platform available and because it’s open-source, new plug-ins are being created every day! All MavideaSITE websites are developed on WordPress.

While walking through our website process, we learned their goals for the content reorganization and got to work creating a more cohesive and user friendly lay out for their content.
