Sunrise Rotary Announces Rotarians of the Year

Three members of the Bloomington/Normal Sunrise Rotary were recently honored for their outstanding dedication and service to the Sunrise Rotary Club and the community.

Cat Woods, Director of Finance and Business Operations for the Community Cancer Center, was selected as New Rotarian of the Year.  This honor is given to a Rotarian who has been in the club less than 2 years and has provided outstanding service as a new member.  During her first year, Ms. Woods served on the Membership Committee, International Committee, Bags and Brats fundraiser for Midwest Food Bank and participated in various community service projects on behalf of Sunrise Rotary.

Jamie Mathy and Tracy Patkunas were named Rotarians of the Year.  Jamie Mathy is co-owner of Mavidea Technology Group and co-owner of Kelly’s Bakery and Café in Bloomington.  As Community Service Co-Chair for the club, Mathy coordinated monthly service projects for club members and played a key role in Bags and Brats event to benefit Midwest Food Bank.  He currently serves as President Elect for Sunrise Rotary.

Tracy Patkunas is a Business Strategist with Great Plains Media (which includes 107.7 The Bull, Classic Hits 99.5, and Cities 92.9).   She is currently serving a second term as Co-Chair of Club Service.  In addition, she is active in several community events including Tour de Metro event in Downtown Bloomington, Brats and Bags event to benefit Midwest Food Bank and several other community service projects.

The Bloomington/Normal Sunrise Rotary Club meets every Tuesday from 6:50-8:00 a.m. at Eastland Suites for breakfast, fellowship and an educational program.
