Reap in the Fall

Last installment in the four part series of Jim Rohn talking about the season.  I can just feel the excitement in the air.

The fourth major lesson in life is to reap in the fall without complaint.  Learning to take full responsibility is a sign of maturity.

You need to learn how to reap without apology if you have done well and without complaint if you haven’t.

Accepting the results of your actions is a very important part of the process of life.  We need to be willing to reap the rewards we have earned and stand up and admit when we blew it.

This realization led Jim to the conclusion that the answers are inside.

Success is not something you pursue, it is something you become.

Jim says “Disappointments are not special gifts reserved for the poor.  Everyone has them.  The question is:  what are you going to do about it?”

He leaves us with a difficult question.

Think about your life thus far.  Have you taken full responsibility for ALL of your successes and failures up to this point?

This is something I catch myself with frequently.  I am working hard at not thinking that any of the blame belongs with anyone but me.

Instead of shooting for perfection on that one, let’s start with today.  Take full responsibility for everything today.
